The 2010 ReStore Spaces event raised over $12,600 for Habitat for Humanity of Forsyth County.

As one of Eight design teams, Mara Gardner of Cabinet Creations & Paul Mallory of Sonoma Wine Rooms joined creative forces to create a Wine Tasting Room using donated items found at the ReStore.  They repurposed an old crib rail for horizontal wine storage (left), cut a Queen Anne dining table in half, painted it green &  made 2 consoles; reused cabinet doors designed for glass inserts into a fabric folding screen; recycled 12 ceiling fan blades into a stunning glossy red & green clock sculpture; and gave a plain shaker cabinet door new life as a gold-leafed wine tray.  Found faux-bamboo legs inspired the tile-topped tasting table & remnants from a roll of wallpaper were just enough to create  dramatic wall panels.

Special thanks to Madison Heyden and the Winston-Salem businesses who helped with this room: 1502 Fabrics, Reynolda Upholstery, Custom Colors, Frame It & Pfaff’s
